About

Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC) is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and the education partner of the National Park Service in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. For over 50 years, PEEC has successfully cultivated an appreciation and love of nature in our visitors, which include school groups, informal learning groups, families, adult learners, professionals, and the general public.

How long has PEEC been running?

PEEC has been operating over 50 years, since 1972. PEEC’s Summer Camp began in 1998 as a day camp and has been growing every year since.

How does PEEC compare now from when it first began?

The core of PEEC’s mission remains the same – environmental education for all ages. The ways we explore and teach about nature, along with our displays, programs, and facilities, continue to improve and adapt to the needs of our groups and community.
