WEDCO
WEDCO is Wayne County’s lead economic development organization. WEDCO provides the services needed to bring new business to our county, support the business that is already here, improve the local tax base, and enhance the quality of life for the residents of Wayne County. WEDCO is a non-profit corporation comprised of businesses in partnership with state, county, and municipal government that realizes a bright economic future depends on investing and planning today.
Workforce
One call is all it takes to access our full complement of workforce resources. We take a comprehensive, systematic approach to workforce development through the Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance, a unique partnership of business, education, economic development, community, government, and employment services. If you are relocating or expanding in Wayne County, the Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance will: Connect businesses to all County school districts, regional higher education, and employment services; Communicate training needs directly to providers for customized training programs; Be a conduit for training funds; Lead workforce development initiatives.
Pike County Economic Development
The Economic Development Authority strives to strengthen the economic vitality of Pike County by implementing strategies and managing programs to attract, promote and sustain businesses and employment.
